We believe God loves creativity and art because God is, first, the Creator of all things; God is an artist. The vision of the Bethany Music Series is to provide cost-free concerts of great music for the Berlin-and-beyond community. Each year, we host four concerts of a variety of styles made possible by the generous donations of local businesses and individuals. For information on how to support the Bethany Music Series, contact the church office.

Concerts are free and open to all ages!

Newsletter by Email coming soon! If you have any questions about the music series or would like to sign up for the future email list, send an email to our music series here.

Ted Yoder, Dulcimer

March 15, 4:00pm NEW CONCERT DATE! August 23, 2020 at 4pm

Our music series team, in consultation with church leadership and town officials, made the difficult decision to reschedule this concert. We want to be sensitive to the evolving nature of the COVID-19 situation and its impact both locally and around the world. We encourage you to be in prayer for our nation’s leaders and healthcare professionals who are on the front lines of response to this challenging situation. Thank you for understanding; we are looking forward to this concert, newly rescheduled!

With his wife Donna, Ted Yoder has created a family culture of creativity and teamwork that puts his music making at the center of its activities. He’s played the dulcimer for decades, and while his passionate playing style and easy-going personality make him a natural online star, the roots of his talent and showmanship are steeped in an Appalachian musical tradition with origins which can be traced back to 300 BCE in Greece. Until you hear Ted play, it’s hard to imagine that one wooden stringed instrument can sound like an entire rock band or a whole symphony orchestra all in one. His repertoire includes everything from Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing” and The Beatles’ “Eleanor Rigby,” to classics such as “Amazing Grace” and “The Little Drummer Boy.”

Highline Vocal Jazz

October 6, 4:00pm

Doors Open at 3:45pm

Highline Vocal Jazz is comprised of five best friends who love to sing! They are committed to continuing the vocal jazz tradition established by groups like Manhattan Transfer, Take 6, The Real Group, and New York Voices, among others. They believe in modernizing the art form these artists championed, but above all, they believe in making music fun and accessible for all audiences. At the center of our philosophy is education of the next generation of singers through workshops and masterclasses in jazz singing and arranging. We believe that the world would be a better place if everyone would sing together!

Opening for HVJ is our own Conard High School Solo Choir; you won’t want to miss it!

Christmas Celebration

December 15, 4:00pm

Join us to sing the music of Christmas and to hear again the ancient story of the God of Creation who left His throne to become one of us. This night of celebration is led by the artists and musicians of Bethany Covenant Church, including our choir, worship team, vocal and instrumental ensembles, and solo musicians. We hope you’ll sing with us on the familiar music of the season!

Then, join us after the concert to enjoy festive food and drink (especially hot cocoa!), socialize with friends and family, and ring in this season of hope, love, joy, and peace. There will be plenty of activities for all ages, including crafts and games for the kids. You won’t want to miss it!
